  • Day 1: Arrival in Paro

    Fly into Paro by Druk Air, where you’ll be greeted by breathtaking views of the snowcapped Himalayan peaks. As the plane descends into Paro valley, you’ll catch sight of Paro Dzong overlooking the river and Ta Dzong, the National Museum, perched above. After being welcomed by your guide, you’ll check into your hotel and visit the National Museum, housed in Ta Dzong, and Rinpung Dzong, a historic fortress. Spend the evening relaxing or exploring Paro town. Overnight at your hotel in Paro.

  • Day 2: Paro to Thimphu

    After breakfast, drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, where you’ll spend the day exploring its cultural treasures. Visit the National Library, the Institute for Zorig Chusum (Painting School), the National Folk Heritage Museum, and the Textile Museum. Take a walk through the Centenary Farmers’ Market, visit the Takin Preserve, and enjoy a short hike at Kuensel Phodrang, offering panoramic views of the Thimphu valley. End the day at Buddha Point, where the largest Buddha statue in Bhutan overlooks the city. Overnight at your hotel in Thimphu.

  • Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha/Wangdue

    After breakfast, depart for Punakha, crossing the Dochula Pass with its 108 chortens and stunning Himalayan views. In Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong, a grand fortress situated between two rivers, and the Dho Jha Gha Lam Temple. Later, take a walk through the rice fields to Chhimi Lhakhang, the Divine Madman’s Monastery, famous for its fertility blessings. Overnight at a hotel in Wangdue/Punakha.

  • Day 4: Punakha/Wangdue to Thimphu

    Begin the day with a visit to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyel Temple, which offers serene views of the valley. Afterward, return to Thimphu with lunch en route. Upon arrival, visit the Memorial Chorten, built in honor of the third King of Bhutan, and Tashichhoe Dzong, a historic fortress and the seat of Bhutan’s government. In the evening, you are free to explore Thimphu town at your leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Thimphu.

  • Day 5: Thimphu to Paro and Hike to Taktsang

    After breakfast, drive to Paro and hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest. The hike takes approximately 1.5 hours to reach the viewpoint, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the monastery clinging to the cliffside. Continue the hike to the monastery itself, where Guru Rinpoche is said to have meditated in the 8th century. After descending, visit the Kichu Temple, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, before returning to your hotel in Paro for the night.

  • Day 6: Departure

    Your guide will escort you to Paro airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your Bhutanese adventure.
